A friend of mine asked me to do something cool with his plain white vans slip-ons, so I really started with a blank canvas. I chose to take full advantage of the open design spaces on this shoe, and went with a colorful "puzzle piece" style of filling the space. I also wanted to challenge myself with creating straight black and white lines on a curved surface.
